The Farm at Walnut Creek COVID-19 Update:

What can we Currently do at The Farm?
The drive thru in your own car is open. Most of the animals roam free and are able to come to your car for you to feed them. The drive thru is “extended,” which means you will be directed through more of our animals that are normally in the walk thru area. The only reason to get out the car is to use the restrooms one at a time, keeping social distancing in mind. The only restrooms open are at the ticket booth when you first check in.
What precautions are we taking?
The Farm is following social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC. All employees are sanitizing between each person encounter, feed buckets are being sanitized between each use, restrooms are being sprayed with disinfectant, and we are encouraging employees and visitors to stay home if they are a part of a high-risk group or feeling unwell.
Who will we come in contact with at The Farm?
The only person you will come in contact with is the employee at the ticket booth. There will be a lot of contact with the animals!
Can we still feed the animals?
Yes, you can feed the animals from your car. Feed buckets are $3.00 each for 1/2 gallon tub. Keep in mind that just like people, animals do not eat all day. They will be more active and eager to eat earlier in the day.
Is it safe to come in contact with the animals at The Farm?
We have been in contact with the USDA discussing COVID-19 and following the National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL, who works with infectious diseases. “There have been no documented cases of COVID-19 infection in horses or livestock species, and there is no evidence to date that humans represent a risk of spreading or contracting this virus through farm animals.” Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine.)
Is there anything else we need to know?
You can drive thru as many times as you would like as your ticket is good for the day. You are also permitted to leave The Farm and come back during the same day if you would like to get lunch, etc. Riding in the back of a pickup truck is permitted as long as the tailgate remains up. We do not accept debit or credit cards. No pets or service animals allowed.
Our goal is to keep everyone safe and for you to bring your family and get some fresh air and relieve stress from the pandemic. We hope this helps you plan your visit. We are anticipating more visitors and understand some people do not enjoy The Farm busier than normal. If this is you, we would rather you wait until things slow down so your time will be more enjoyable. We will do our best to keep you informed about wait times. Either way, we hope to see you all at some point! We are thrilled we are able to proved a getaway for you and your family during this difficult time and we truly appreciate your business, stay safe!
