“52 Years of Heartbreak: Infamous Moments in Cleveland Sports” author at Dover Public Library
Author and sports fan William Trowbridge will present “52 Years of Heartbreak: Infamous Moments in Cleveland Sports” on Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 PM in the community room at Dover Public Library. He will explore the games, plays, and decisions that broke Cleveland fans’ hearts — and ultimately shaped the city’s identity. Trowbridge will walk through the infamous moments that defined generations of Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers fans. Trowbridge’s talk blends historical storytelling with audience participation, inviting attendees to share what they remember and what these moments meant to them personally. A book signing will follow the program.
As Trowbridge himself says, “It will be part sports history, part shared memory, part Cleveland therapy session.”
William Trowbridge lives in Westlake and has been a lifelong Cleveland sports fan. He is the author of nine books in the Infamous Moments in Cleveland Sports series — the complete narrative history of Cleveland’s most painful, chaotic, and unforgettable sports moments. The titles include Red Right 88, The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, The Move, The Mesa, The Decision, Ten Cent Beer Night and the series flagship Cursed No More.
