The Wilderness Center The State of Conservation 3-Part Series

The Wilderness Center is proud to announce The State of Conservation, a new three-part series offering the public an inside look at how The Wilderness Center’s conservation experts are monitoring, protecting, and restoring the natural environments of Ohio. The series, offered both in-person and virtually, will explore the health of local ecosystems and the vital work being done to preserve biodiversity across the region. Each session will include engaging presentations, opportunities for audience Q&A, and actionable insights into the future of conservation at The Wilderness Center. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how science-based strategies and community partnerships are helping safeguard the natural world.

Part 3: The Pulse of Our Waters – A Deep Dive into Stream Quality

Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2026, AT 6pm – 7pm

The Wilderness Center’s final session focuses on the lifeblood of our landscape, our rivers and streams. Attendees will explore the indicators used to assess stream quality and habitat structure, learn about the threats facing local waterways, and discover how The Wilderness Center’s conservation efforts are protecting aquatic ecosystems for generations to come.
