An update has been given related to a fleeing suspect and the Tuscarawas Sheriff’s Office says this individual has a long criminal history.
The latest release from Sheriff Orvis Campbell notes that 44-year-old Joshua Edward Houston is the man they are looking for following a Tuesday evening pursuit that ended on Abbey Road, near Steele Hill Road, in New Philadelphia.
The Sheriff explains that Houston will flee and is attempting to avoid prison as the United States Marshal’s Office has been pursuing him for some time.
It’s known for Houston to steal cars and flee without concern for others safety on the roadway.
Campbell adds that they are asking the public to remain vigilant since it’s unknown if Houston is still in the local area. Doors, windows, garages, and vehicles should be kept locked.
Anyone with information about Houston or if any suspicious activity is observed, residents are asked to dial 911 immediately.
